ABOUT ANDREA CERMANSKI

I’ve been painting for over 30 years and teaching abstract painting for most of that time — which means I’ve seen the same mistakes come up again and again, in my own work and in students at every level.

I have a Bachelor’s in Art History and a Master’s in Art Education, my work has been shown in galleries across the country, and I’ve had a piece juried by Judy Chicago. But honestly, what qualifies me to teach this isn’t the credentials — it’s the fact that I’ve personally worked through every frustration you’re probably feeling right now: the muddy colors, the compositions that fall flat, the paintings you abandon because something just isn’t working.

That’s exactly why I created my free training, “The 5 Missing Pieces Between You and Painting Abstracts with Confidence.” It’s everything I wish someone had told me earlier — and what I now teach from my studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico to first-timers and experienced painters alike who are ready for a creative breakthrough.
